My Reiki healing stories

Reiki healing is akin to giving love. The more love you put in, the more effective the healing will be.

Flashback to when I first started

"There is always a first time to everything."

When I first had Reiki energy in my hands, I tried on every member of my immediate and extended family members - some of them willingly, some under coercion (for the first trial that is). So, I had back then tried Reiki on a range of ailments, e.g. common cold, fever, nausea, indigestion, headache, toothache, body parts pain and many more. During the trials, many reacted : “Why are your hands so warm?” My common answer then was :”That’s Reiki for you.” The happiness is when they come back and ask for more Reiki. Double happiness is when some of them turn to you and asked to be taught Reiki.

Growth In giving Reiki

Just like all growth in life, the skill in Reiki grows - the practitioners' sensitivity and intuition especially. The request for Reiki also grows and the purpose of treatments become more diverse. I am collating below a list of ailments I have since treated beyond the initial stages. The stories below will grow as I get exposed to more...

Case 1. Shingles

The very first serious case I came across was Shingles - given it is contagious, obviously Reiki could only be given remotely. So I sent distance Reiki to the recipient : I was at my house, he was at his house (that's how distance Reiki works). When he agreed to receive Reiki, it was his re-infection (meaning he actually recovered the first, but his immune system succumbed to the virus yet again shortly after the first recovery). From the feedback, the recipient had a fan blowing on him, yet he felt the heat where I intended Reiki to flow to. The second time he had Shingles, he recovered in a shorter time as compared to the first time. I believe Reiki helped him in the faster recovery.

Case 2. Operations

Old grannies around me do get injured or sick and needed to be hospitalised for operation or extended stay. For such, I used Reiki symbols to send Reiki to labels, prior to operations (with intention sent for success in the operations) and also sent distance Reiki to accelerate recovery (one of the grannies was in ICU so physical visit wasn't possible). After the operations, I gave physical sessions which eased pain and accelerated recovery.

Case 3. Spine injury

My student met me months after experiencing instability in her walking - she complained about having weakness in her legs and falling down most unexpectedly. Regular treatments at the hospital didn't ease her condition and the prognosis just couldn't be made. After she picked up Reiki, she was very diligent in her self practice. Her condition improved but still didn't go away. However, she finally received a prognosis what was causing her the instability - part of her spine had an extra nerve and she needed an operation. So, I always tell my students : whatever Reiki can't heal totally, the intelligence will bring you help from the right source.

So, this student went for her operation and her condition definitely is much better now, after being out of action for few months after the operation.

Again, I used symbols and Reiki to send her healing, to help her ease her pain. She definitely used Reiki herself to accelerate her healing.

Case 4. Emotional toll

Recipient had a miscarriage and she had been feeling really down for days. Upon her request, I sent her Distance Reiki healing with the intention for Reiki to heal her for her highest good.

During the send, I felt a very heavy heart and emotional turmoil. Right after the send, she shared that she was crying and couldn't stop crying. I told her to believe that Reiki will give her strength to overcome this loss. ;(

Case 5. Reiki for animals

I don't have my own pets so I am sharing my student's story of Reiki on animals. When her pet dog passed away, she only managed to reach to it at the vet when it already passed on. She sent Reiki to the dog as it laid on the operation table. She started to feel spirals moving through her hands to the body of the dog. Then she saw a vision of her dog rising above the body (probably its spirit), looking down at itself, with a puzzled look. Since she was trained at Reiki Level 2 (at which level, you can invoke the connection symbol to send Reiki to the other party, across space and distance), I suggested her to send Reiki using symbols in Level 2 to connect with her dog, but she didn't dared. :)
